In September of 2025, we successfully opened Oakwood Tokyo International Elementary School with our first grade 1 class. Our school is an IB-PYP candidate school with a certified staff that is able to provide close to one-on-one tutoring and training thanks to our small class sizes. We are the only international elementary school in our area that also offers a full-day child care program (Working Parents Support) for busy families.
Fully-certified Elementary School Teachers with certificates from Massachusetts, Washington D.C. and The Philippines.
Oakwood Tokyo International School is a compassionate, globally-minded international elementary school located in the heart of Setagaya. Rooted in inquiry-based learning, we are proud to offer a nurturing environment where every child receives personalized attention and care.
Our greatest strengths are our highly-trained teachers and intentionally small class sizes — with a maximum of 8 students per class, we ensure that each child thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.
